Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice supplements the BarkGoals Privacy Policy. It describes how BarkGoals LLC handles information that may be treated as consumer health data under applicable U.S. state law.
Consumer health data we handle
Depending on how you use BarkGoals, this information may include food and nutrition entries; hydration entries; weight, goals, trends, and related wellness information; activity information; Apple Health information you authorize BarkGoals to access; information inferred from tracker entries; and health-related text, photos, audio, transcripts, or outputs used with Bark AI or food-recognition features.

BarkGoals receives this information from you, from the features you use, from Apple Health when you grant permission, from food or nutrition sources used for a lookup, and from service providers that process a feature you request.
Purposes
BarkGoals handles consumer health data to provide the tracker, goals, trends, Apple Health, food lookup, support, security, and AI features you choose; maintain and improve the service; prevent abuse; comply with law; and exercise or defend legal rights.
Categories of recipients
Depending on the feature, consumer health data may be disclosed to service providers that help us operate AI, transcription, food lookup, security, and support features; to Apple when you use Apple Health; to professional advisers or authorities when legally required; and to people who receive a public-share link you create.
Collection and sharing choices
Apple Health access is optional and separately controlled through Apple permission prompts. AI or public-sharing features should be used only when you want the content needed for that feature to be processed or disclosed as described. Where applicable law requires consent for collecting or sharing consumer health data beyond what is necessary to provide a product you request, BarkGoals will request that consent separately and will not treat general acceptance of the Terms as the separate consent.
Rights and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to confirm whether BarkGoals handles your consumer health data; access that data and a list of recipients; delete data; withdraw consent; correct data; or appeal a denied request. Submit a request or appeal to support@barkgoals.app. BarkGoals may verify your identity and request information needed to locate and securely respond to the request. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed before withdrawal and may make a requested feature unavailable.
Apple and other third parties control records stored in their services. A BarkGoals account-deletion request does not erase those independently controlled records.
Changes and contact
BarkGoals may update this notice when its practices or legal obligations change. An updated notice will be posted with its effective date.
