BarkGoals Terms of Use
Effective date: July 25, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of BarkGoals, a service developed and operated by BarkGoals LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. By creating an account or using BarkGoals, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, for activity under your account, and for providing accurate information. Do not share authentication credentials or use another person's account without authorization.
2. General wellness only
BarkGoals is a general-wellness and informational service. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional advice. Nutrition, hydration, calorie, macro, weight, activity, food-database, barcode, and AI-assisted information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Review values before relying on or logging them. Consult an appropriately qualified professional before making medical, nutrition, hydration, weight-loss, or fitness decisions. Do not use BarkGoals for emergencies or in a way that could cause unsafe weight loss, overhydration, under-eating, or other harm.
3. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit to BarkGoals. You give BarkGoals LLC a limited, nonexclusive license to host, reproduce, process, transmit, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service and comply with law. This license ends when the content is deleted from BarkGoals-controlled active systems, subject to legal, security, backup, and operational retention described in the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you submit, including photos, audio, recordings, recipes, and information about other people. You are responsible for obtaining consent before recording or submitting another person's voice or information.
4. AI features
AI features may process the content you submit with service providers. AI output is generated automatically, may be wrong, and should be independently reviewed. Do not submit highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request. You may not use AI features to violate law, infringe rights, create harmful content, bypass service limits, or make unsupported automated requests.
5. Food lookup and third-party information
Food-database, restaurant, barcode, label-recognition, and nutrition results may come from third-party sources. Results are estimates and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Names and marks of third parties belong to their respective owners. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their applicable terms.
Features that rely on third-party information may change, become limited, or become unavailable.
6. Public shares
When you create a public meal or recipe link, anyone with the link may view, copy, or redistribute the shared content. Do not share confidential information or content you do not have permission to share. Disabling or expiring BarkGoals access to a link cannot remove copies made by other people. BarkGoals may restrict or remove public content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Subscriptions
BarkGoals offers a Free tier and may offer BarkGoals Pro through auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscriptions. Pro features may include food-database search and barcode lookup, advanced insights, premium personalization, and Bark AI. Current features and storefront prices are shown before purchase and may vary by region.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel in App Store account settings. If a free trial or introductory offer is available, its duration and post-offer price are shown by Apple before purchase. Refund requests are handled under Apple's policies.
Restoring purchases associates eligible Apple transactions with the authenticated BarkGoals account. Deleting the app or your BarkGoals account does not cancel a subscription. Subscription access may end after expiration, cancellation, refund, revocation, billing failure, or loss of a valid entitlement.
8. Apple terms
If you obtain BarkGoals through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies unless an approved custom license is presented in App Store Connect. Apple's standard license is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
9. Apple Health
Apple Health integration is optional. You control permissions through Apple. BarkGoals does not control or delete records stored by Apple Health merely because you delete a BarkGoals account. You are responsible for reviewing synchronized entries and managing Apple Health permissions and records.
10. Acceptable use
You may not misuse BarkGoals; disrupt or interfere with the service; access another person's account or data; bypass authentication, subscription, rate, or feature controls; scrape or make unsupported automated requests; reverse engineer protected portions except where law expressly permits; upload malware; submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or harmful content; or use BarkGoals in violation of law or third-party rights.
11. Service changes and availability
Features may require internet access, supported hardware or operating systems, permissions, subscriptions, or third-party services. BarkGoals may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable usage and security limits. BarkGoals does not guarantee continuous or error-free availability.
12. Account suspension and termination
BarkGoals may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal requirements, enforce these Terms, address nonpayment, or prevent abuse. You may stop using BarkGoals and may request account deletion through the app. Account deletion, app deletion, and subscription cancellation are separate actions. Data handling after termination is described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BarkGoals is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. BarkGoals LLC disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BarkGoals LLC and its officers, members, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or health outcomes arising from or related to BarkGoals. Applicable law may limit or prohibit some exclusions.
15. Privacy
Your use of BarkGoals is governed by the Privacy Policy at https://barkgoals.app/privacy/. The Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice at https://barkgoals.app/consumer-health/ supplements that policy for information that may be treated as consumer health data under applicable U.S. state law.
16. Changes
BarkGoals may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. Updated Terms will be posted with their effective date, and material changes will be communicated when required. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the service.
